I like my existing irons but some of them have got a bit battered. Does anybody know of a somewhere in Ireland where the clubs can be refurbished like this company in America:

I think there are similar companies in the UK.

I got a wedge re-chromed by American Golf in Tallaght a few years ago. No idea if they still do it though. The chroming work was excellent, but they didn't (or couldn't) re-groove the face of the wedge so it was no good to me anyway !

What clubs have you got .
I have a set old of m29's and enquired with loads of places in Ireland and could not find a place to do the work .

If that's a question for me, it was an old Mizuno TP9 sand wedge that I'd worn the face flat on. Its a long time since I got it done, probably 7/8 years I'd say.

Not too sure about any golf specialist in Ireland but two in the UK who do this are

They are a set of Mizuno MP 60's. I was at Foregolf a few weeks ago and they said that there was nothing wrong with the irons and i did hit them as well as any other.

I found a place in the UK, http://www.golfer-today.co.uk/golfequipment/repairs.html and emailed them yesterday and this was the response:

Iron heads can be chromed in either bright or sateen finish.

The complex process involves removing the heads from the shafts, re grinding
all leading edges, re cutting the face lines, stripping of the old finish,
sanding and then high polishing the heads to remove all dint marks, masking
off and bead blasting the face panel, commercially re chroming, then re
assembling the heads to the shafts, together with new ferrules cut and
polished if needed, finally painting in the makers marks before the clubs
    are ready to send back.

It normally takes 3 weeks to complete.

The cost is £35 per iron plus return postage. The minimum number of heads to
rechrome at one time is three.

Payment is made when the heads are ready to be send back.

It isn't cheap (and postage needed to be factored in) but its still half the cost of a new iron.

It's not too bad when you think about it , as a lot of clubs on the market look like shovels . Instead of a quality set of blades .
