Focus Heater

The heater on my 01 Focus isn't working any longer.
The fan works OK, just no hot air when the dial is moved into the red zone.

I've changed the thermostat, the cabin filter and the heater resistor. I've also checked the fuses.

    Anyone have any other ideas?

You didn't mention if you checked coolant level?

Yes thanks, have done that. And i've topped up while car is running (i don't know how else to bleed this vehicle).

I've spoken to a parts guy at a Ford dealership in the hope of getting a heater control valve but according to him, this isn't a separate part from the heater assembly and he didn't recommend messing around with it. So i replaced the resistor instead...which made no difference.

Perhaps the thermostat i got from the local parts shop wasn't the correct one?
The first one i got didn't even have the correct rubber seal.
And both of them had a two hole gasket rather than a three hole gasket. (holes for the bolts.)
