    Hi there,
Just wondering how easy or difficult you think it would be to replace the broken window catches in the pics below?

With winter coming in, I'd rather get rid of as many draughts from the house as possible and both these windows are a bit draughty as you can imagine.

I don't think the sash windows are original; certainly not the first one as that window is in a part of the house with an extension. Of course it may have been moved from another part of the house. We rent the house but the landlord is very hands off and is happy enough once they receive their rent; any work we get done they usually let us knock off the rent.

Any tips or advice would be very welcome, I haven't the first clue and neither has my housemate :o

They are a bog standard sash window fitting, stocked by most hardware and weekend DIY shops (woodies and the like). Cost from about €1.75 a piece upwards depending on where you shop.

Great, thanks! I'll have to source them at the weekend and fit them. Hopefully properly!
