Professional Bass Player Seeking Working Function/Covers Band

    Hi all,

    Im a 31 year old Bassist looking for a working function or covers act. I have been playing for approx 16 years and have my own equipment and transport. Short CV, started playing Bass at around 14/15 years old after learning the guitar before that. Signed a record contract at 19 but band broke up a few years later. Played with a number of original bands since and supported the likes of Gomez, Ian Brown, JJ72, Saw Doctors, The Coronas, The Frames and Damien Dempsey. Went back to college recently to study music and am currently in year 3 of a degree course in it. If needed I can record and throw a video of a chosen song on youtube.

    Influences and choices are pretty varied. Love playing anything from pop to rock, funk to trad, blues to country so pretty much anything goes. Basically just love playing.

    PS. If there is a band out there that are not working yet but have gigs lined up and are ready to go in the next month or so, give me a shout also. When I say "working band" I basically mean I dont want to start from scratch, decide on songs to play, rehearse for the next few months and then maybe play.

    Hi there. I'm in the same boat as you. I am a vocalist looking to join a working covers band also. I have 10+ years experience but finding it really difficult to find a band at the moment. If you don't get the responses you're looking for, perhaps you would then be open to setting something up. I didn't wanna do the rehearsals from scratch thing either.
