I really dont know what forum to post this on. I guess people on here would be able to answer my question. no point asking in the satnav forum as this is an electrical question.

I want to tidy things up in my work van.

To many wires going into adators and 12v cigarette lighters.

I use a Garmin Satnav, plus a dash cam .

Can I cut into the power cable supplying the satnav and splice the power lead for the dash cam into it.

Will the Garmin fuse blow with the extra amps or do they have a transformer built into the charger.

You should be OK regarding current, but make sure you get the polarity right. They both have mini-USB plugs? Maybe you could find a 1-into-2 adapter cable?
