what does a 'long form' birth cert look like anyway?

    i need one of these to get a passport but i'm not sure if i have the right sort. the one i have says "form A2" in the top right corner. can someone post a link to a picture of the long form please? :D

    Not any more.

    "New" long form birth certs are an A4 printed sheet.

    Did you check the back of it.
    Maybe yours is different.

    Why is there two versions of the birth cert?one of which is has a higher status than the other for some reason.

    The long version has to have your parents' names on it for the purposes of passport application - that's the main difference, as far as I know.

    Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.
