    Hi all,
Our passat has developed a missfire, Iv'e looked over it and cant see anything out of place had a fuel filter not so long ago. There's a nasty shake in the transmission as a result. Im not sure whether its fitted with a duel mass fly wheel. I'm handy enough with cars and fixing them but this has me perplexed have they a dmf by any chance?

Any vw heads have any idea's.
    Cheers

Misfire! Shudder.... Sounds like injector, .. But dont panic just yet, them injectors rarely 'give up'.. Best bet would be mechanic to diagnose any fault codes..... Or you could take off rocker cover about 14 bolts all easily accessible apart from one with a little bit off hinderance from inlet manifold elbow, you'll just need pivot socket extension (one that has elbow joint).... Anyway when you remove cover, you'll see 4 injectors all with connections, make sure the connections are all firmly in place, then bolt cover back in place, tight but do not over tighten.... Should have said, before removing cover check main harness socket, the one that actually feeds the injector connections, it's back off rocker cover round black about 1.5 inch's diameter, it may be loose (best case scenario).... And yes you have DMF (floating).. Mine now has Solid.. Good Luck...
