I am going to tile an old concrete floor with some ceramic tiles.
I'm not sure if the concrete floor had a moisture barrier underneath so I'm wondering if there is a tile adhesive which contains a moisture barrier.
At the moment the floor has hard plastic type tiles which were stuck down with some type of glue....probably 30/40 years ago.
The floor size is about 12'x12'.

    Thanks.

In a word, no. If there is its news to me. There's waterproofing admixtures but not for adhesive.

    Thanks for reply.
Can I check with you... if moisture is found under the plastic there IS or IS NOT a moisture barrier.
    Thanks.

Sorry for gramary and speling mistakes. İf you finding moisture or wetnes is NO Barier. and moister is in concreat. But what you can do is aplly two or more coats of primer with dampproof aditives and use only flexible adhesive. most are water proof. İt is whriten on bag. But use only powder adhesive

Hi, I am a bit late for a reply, but just to share my experience. Pavel is right, to stop the moisture, there are primers with damp proof additives and the adhesive should be class S1. Its very important tiles to be packed up well, no voids allowed.
