    hi,
i had a tiler in today laying black limestone tiles on which im putting a stove on, i think he laid them upside down as the rough finish was what i wanted on top but he left the smooth side on top, i wasnt there so didnt know until afterwards. im just wondering if there is any way i could lift the tiles or will that side be ruined now? he used a normal adhesive but the stone wasnt sealed before so is that it f**cked? the rough edge was quite flakey so maybe some of it would come loose when lifting? thanks for any help

I'm inclined to agree with you. There is an acid called brick cleaner, which essentially is hydrochloridic acid diluted. . It burns off cement that's your best chance at first thought

Limestone will crumble if you try and take it up, that fact it wasn't sealed prior to laying isn't an issue. If they were layed upside down i'd be getting the fitter back.

Afaik acids cant be used on natural stone.
