    Mercedes sprinter 310D 2.9 TURBO GOING INTO LIMP MODE!!!
    Hi all, i have this van and its driving fine for a month then suddenly it will go into limp mode for a day or a week then it might come back for another month and drive fine.???
    IVE CHECKED THE FOLLOWING:
    INJECTOR NO 1 RESISTANCE- OK.
    INTERCOOLER AND PIPEWORK- OK.
    FUEL:RAN IT OUT OF A BOTTLE ON CLEAN DIESEL- OK.
    TOOK OFF EGR VALVE- OK
    ELIMINIATED LIGHTS AND DASH FROM VACUUM SYSTEM AND CHECKED FOR LEAKS -OK.
    Brought it to a mechanic and a fault code for the EGR vaccume solenoid was showing, he cleared it and mentioned i could try pick up a secondhand one but its probably ok.
    Do these solenoids go? or possible vaccume pump, brakes are fine though?
    Any ideas please, greatly appreciated?? ive sourced a secondhand vaccume solenoid waiting for it to arrive as its in limp mode at present. The mechanic also said the Egr valve was a little slow.???? THANKS
