driving tractor in the river

    hi im not sure is this the right forum for this but i was wondering would there be a problem with the fisheries if i was driving the tractor across the river now and again, part of this driving would be on a bank of sand beside the river
    any help would be greatly aprecciated

    If its a river where salmon come up to spawn they might ,but to be honeset I'd say you're fairly alright ,as long as you arnt driving a leaking slurry tanker across;)

    how deep is the river and what kind of tractor would u be using ??? just wondering cos iv something similar to cross.

    In order to have an issue with fisheries, you would have to cause damage or disturbance to spawning fish, or the spawn of fish. Or interfere with their passage, or allow deleterious matter into the watercourse.
    The occasional tractor crossing could not in my opinion cause an issue in the vast majority of locations.

    well its about a foot deep and i wouldnt be letting slury or anthing like it spill in, and just crossing with a four wheel drive 290 :)
