Transferring Jobseekers Allowance to UK

Just wondering I got offered a job in Edinburgh but I'm on job seekers allowance in Ireland. I'm starting new job in 2 weeks but have very little savings to support myself over. Won't get paid for a month after I start. Is there anyway to keep my payments for a few weeks?I have to collect them at post office at the moment.…

I did the same thing on Jobseekers Benefit before in UK but not sure about allowance.
Otherwise I don't really know could I take the Job as id be homeless over der?
Be a disaster if I couldn't take a job to stay on the bloody dole. Any ideas, thanks
