Hi guys, was thinking of changing from Console to PC for various reasons, and was looking to build something that would last a couple of years before I would have to start upgrading. I'm not a graphics whore, so I won't be looking to max out games, but good quality would be enough. I have this so far, not sure if I'll be needing a monitor yet, I have a keyboard, need gaming mouse(doesn't have to be spectacular, something that's reliable) Don't need windows I have windows 7. Hoping about €500.

Here's what I've been looking at, any suggestions would be appreciated:)
    Grafix: 650 Ti boost 2gb €130 **Option** R9 270x +€35
Processor: i3240 €95 **Changed to FX 6300 (same price)
    Mobo: MSI Z77A-G45 €85 **option Gigabyte GA-970-UD3P -€10
    Mem: 8GB €60
    Drive: 1TB €50
    Power: Seasonic S12II 520W €55
    Case: Zalman Z9 €50
    Mouse ? ?

    Total: €525

What do you think?? and are they all compatible? Cheers.

An AMD-FX-6300 is much better value for Gaming than an i3 as far as I know.

Yep a 6300 would be a better bet especially if overclocking. I'd try and find the extra money to get yourself a 270x as well.

You can get them as cheap as €160 and it's just a far better card.

Do I need to change mobo if I go from Intel to AMD?

Yes, something like this is fine. And for case this is nice if you want to spend about €50

Good recommendations there. That's a good board for overclocking. Probably a bit overkill for a 6300 though unless you plan on going for high overclocks which will need decent cooling.

Cheers guys, I think this is looking like a decent set up:

    Grafix: R9 270x €165
    Processor: FX 6300 €95
    Mobo: Gigabyte GA-970-UD3P €75
    Mem: 8GB €60
    Drive: 1TB €50
    Power: Seasonic S12II 520W €55
    Case: Zalman Z9 €50
    Mouse €20

    Total: €570

Looks good. For a cheap mouse I'd recommend this. I have it myself and it's fine for it's price but if you're looking for higher quality maybe look at something by Razer.
