Back up your .fit files from X:/Garmin/Activities on your hard drive (or elsewhere) and delete them from Edge. I need to do this every couple of weeks with my 800.

On the upload page, are you uploading directly from the Garmin? If so, then choose the next option down - "From File".

You'll the be shown a "Choose Files" button and when you click it you can use the dialog box to navigate to the activities folder on your Garmin. Select the relevant .fit file (it'll be obvious as the data and time is part of the filename).

I started using this method a couple of weeks ago and the upload is way quicker than using the default (straight from the garmin) method.

+1. I never do it any other way as I run linux on my computers and the browser helper is windows/mac only. I did try the "normal" Windows way a couple of times but it takes forever in comparison.
