Scribblenauts Unlimited Crash On Startup

    Got this as part of this weeks Humble Bundle. I'm not sure if it's specific to Steam or not hence posting here, but upon starting the game {where it says walk to the farmer} the screen freezes & the music continues to play. It'll eventually quit to the desktop while leaving the games music running, I have to ctrl-alt-del to close it. Any ideas?

    Win 7x64
    Core2Quad 2.4Ghz
    4GB Ram
    Radeon HD7870 2GB {drivers from Spetember this year I think}

    I installed the latest Direct X runtime there, & updated to the latest drivers for the gfx card...still locking up just as the game starts. Any ideas? :confused:

    Any error message when the game locks up, or does it just become non responsive?

    EDIT: Might be worth getting in touch with the developers as outlined here. It seems you are not the only one having this issue!

    I'm not getting a specific error message, the game just freezes, then goes back to the desktop but the game music continues on. Will have a look at the link to the devs there, thanks for that :)

    Twas a hardware issue with the gfx card believe it or not. After researching the problem, & RMA'ing it back to Amazon {which was the best customer service I've had in a long, long time actually} I opted not to get a replacement but a refund in order to buy a different card. A shiny new GTX 760 arrived today, & boom, everything sorted :)
