Ive been plagued by punctures recently. Apprx 12 punctures in the last 4 months, im running good psi (110), some have been old tyres, some have been new tyres (continentals, schwalbe, dunlop, etc) different wheels, even different bikes. I reckon its the roads im using (which unfortunately I have to use as they are the roads to and from work) as there seems to be a lot of broken glass on the roads, and try as i might i cant avoid all of it.

Anyway, i was looking at tube sealant and was wondering if anyone had any experience with it. It looks like it could be a good solution (fingers crossed)

    something like this:

(Ill probably buy this now, but would welcome any feedback)

that stuff you linked doesnt mention if it works on tubes Astra.

Do you still want that wheel - i can bring it with me on Sunday (I assume you are racing).

Are there puncture resistant tyres you can get for the the winter?

It does work in tubes as well, it's just normal sealant.

Thanks but I won't be racing this sunday!

ive tried tyres that have good puncture resistence, but they still punctured.... :(

Ive ordered the continental stuff (the one astra linked looks like it needs an injector for the valve) so ill see how that goes.

Have you tried Continental Gatorskins. I had a set of them and I got I think 1 puncture in 8months of commuting through Dublin and 80km spins of a Saturday.

Awful slippy tyre if it's been raining or a touch of frost. Lethal in fact. i wouldn't use them again but for puncture resistance they were the best.

ive heard that gatorskins can have questionable grip, and given I do a lot of miles in the winter and early/late in the day, grip would be more important than puncture protection, so i ruled out gatorskins.

ok, you're probably aware of this but good advice for those that are not is to dig the glass out of your tyres every couple of weeks. I use a braddle which is perfect for rooting the stuff out.

This applies more so to people that cycle in towns.

I've the same slippy problems with the gatorskins so gonna switch to the gp4 season, just as good if not better puncture resistance than the gators but with the grip levels of the gp4000s ;)

How fast are you guys going with your gatorskins? for it to be causing slipping.
Got them my self last week 28mm, only fitted the front but ok so far.
