breaking contracts

    just like to know when you sign up with Eircom and the agreement is done over the phone with sales rep who is records it.

    If the sales rep fails to tells you some information or makes some mistakes can the contract be broken. 

    Can the customer request a copy of the recording from Eircom between them and the Eircom sales rep

    In these cases we advise customers to log a case with customer care as an official complaint to have the call listened to (if recorded) and a manager will respond to the case.

    Were you advised of this option.

    Hi 2pack,

    As advised the case will need to be logged to the eircom customer care team as a complaint. If the call is recorded a written request needs to be sent to the eircom data protection officer.

    You may be asked to pay a fee, but this cannot exceed €6.35 for a copy of the call to be sent out.

    However if the call is on record it is possible.
