Hello, so this is my situation. I recently have been made redundant from my job as a maintenance electrician where i worked for 8+ years, before this i had gained a national Cert(level 6) in electronic Engineering from C.I.T and i am only short 2 modules for diploma(level 7) in electronic engineering which i am in the process of finishing in C.I.T this year. Its from here on that i cant seem to make my mind up whether to go into the electronic industry, I.T industry or study some more for instrumentation at same college.. Any advice would be greatly appreciated from anyone ....

If I was in your position I think I would go down the Instrumentation road.Instrumentation from the outside at least appears bulletproof where as IT and Electronics seem to continuously go from highs to lows.Anyhow thats just my 2cents worth .Best of luck whatever you decide.

was shifting towards instrumentation myself as i have a few friends that went that line straight from college most working abroad which id not do if possible... are you in either field yourself??

No im not personaly but some friends of mine are involved in instrumentation. What exactly they do I do not know, but they are never short of work.It seems to be an area with great potential.
