Jobs.ie - how does it work

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I am looking to get back to work after taking a career break some years ago.

I have seen a position I like. There doesn't seem to be a recruitment agency involved.

Basically what I really want to know is

    1) Would it just be the company I am applying to that would see my cv
    2) It asks in the job application what my salary expectation would be. Is it necessary to answer this. I do have an expectation in my head but would have no idea if it is realistic or not based on my experience.

Jobs.ie like any other job sites advertise jobs both by agencies and from employers,As for the salary expectations I normally say open to negotiations or neg for short.

There should be a Job Reference number and a person / entity to contact mentioned on the Job description page on Jobs.ie, no?
