    For me it's George Hook

    2 Mary Wilson
    3 Matt Cooper

Phillip Boucher Hayes is well down the list when he stands in for Mary Wilson..

Sorry Phillip but I think you should stick to being a researcher!

    George Hook.

If George is on holidays I'll listen to Matt Cooper, but I could never listen to Mary Wilson.

Maybe, Mary Wilson is number two for me as RTE still has the influence to pull in big name guests. To be honest it's the guests that have the power of attraction. Maybe I will give Matt Cooper a few more listens. Did you ever notice how Cork presenters never cease going on about Cork?

Wow can't believe the Georgie love here, the man is an opinionated arrogant buffoon, I have a visceral reaction to hearing him on air in any capacity, Mary Wilson is OK, but Matt cooper wins by a long shot for me.

No one these days, I just move about the dial - Cooper used to be my default but I find he is increasingly poor - too obvious (probably as I've heard him for years)

Lyric FM Drivetime easily listening classical music. Even though I must admit most radio buffs are addicted to the buzz and find it hard to switch over to something relaxing even when our heads are talked of us.

There is something about George Hook that appears to be so self revealing that when he goes on about the lovely Ingrid and Pamela Anderson and his past life history etc. I think he shows us to be more of an open book and not waste energy trying to hide our true feelings about our own life experiences etc. "Let it all up for healing" this is what George appears to be saying. I can understand how this approach can push the buttons of those who are not yet ready to heal their guilt.

Actually it's more the unthinking attempt to recreate the atmosphere of the '50s while decrying the poverty, isolation and narrow mindedness of the era. As I said the man is a buffoon, he's unwilling to STF up for long enough to learn (or allow his listeners learn) anything from his interviewees, just a one man rant of a show.
