Has anybody done this and achieved good results???

By good results I mean a tidy job with the wiring as hidden out of view as possible.

I'd like to go electronic gearing next year and a new bike / frame is out of he question .

Any pictures would be much appreciated

    Cheers

ive just put ultegra di2 on a scott sc1 pro frame. used external wiring, only problem was that there was no hole to screw in a cable guide under the bottom bracket (this is were they recommend the external junction box to go). because of this I had to use one of the screws off the bottle holder on the seat tube. means only one bottle on the bike.

the majority of it is handy enough to do, only problems are trying to tidy up and excess cable.also make sure you order the cable sheaths as well, they dont come as standard with the kit. much cleaner looking than cable ties holding the wires in place.

in work and on my mobile so no pictures but I can try get some up later.

I just drilled 3 holes in my frame and ran the wires internally -

Here's the pics, quality not great and makes it look a bit messier than it actually is but you can get the idea,

Wiring from Battery to external junction box (This should be under bottom bracket)

Bit of a zoomed out view,

Wire don't look as neat as they do in person, pretty hidden. Most of the cable is hidden behind the crank and can't be seen. Thought I had cleaned my bike after Saturday's spin but looks like I missed a good bit too.

Joey thanks for that , just what I was looking for . I have a bare carbon frame too . How did you mount the battery . I thought that it needed a large tie wrap to secure it to the down tube. Yours looks well .

you can get a long external mount (think its called that) uses the bolts that are on the bottle cage. bolts on through them and then lets you put on the battery lower down.

That's the part I have to hold the battery in place. Came with the groupset, I just had to pick if I wanted a long or short one.
