Tyres cracking

I have Schwalbe CityJets on my 1.5 MTB wheels on my commuting bike (rigid fork MTB). The old CityJets had little cracks in the sidewalls of the tyre, and the same thing is appearing in my new tyres (3 months old). I usually do around 75km-100kms a week on it.

Is this common in all tyres? Is it a problem? I haven't had many punctures but just wondering is it something I should keep an eye on for wear.

Do you keep the pressure above the recommended minimum?

Usually only seen on tyres which have been laid up for years or on seriously under-inflated tyres.

What pressure do you keep them at?

I'm quite diligent at keeping them above 75PSI of a recommended 85 max
