    Question doesn't make sense. You can't be passed up, you can only be passed over.
    • To pass up a promotion means you rejected the chance to be promoted.
    • To be passed over for a promotion means someone else chose not to pick you for a promotion

    I was recently passed over for a promotion that I was promised for a year and a half. They gave the position to a woman with zero experience and I was expected to train her and make her successful. She is a great person, but clueless as to what we do. I spend more time fighting battles that I shouldn't have to in order to get things done.

    Once, had better experience, was at the company longer, researched the role better but who cares about all that when the girl who got it had a brother already in that department. In a huff I left for a job elsewhere which I ended up hating and made redundant after 7 months. To add salt into the wound I noticed on FB the girl who got it fecked off travelling after being in the role for 6 months. I had no such plans would of stayed at the company for years if they had shown a bit of faith in me.
