This absurd blimp is the mayor of a city. Most likely he has sent punk kids to serve 10 years for smoking a spliff and this obese clown is still thinking that he's qualified to run a CITY??

Now will he give up the suppliers of the crack that he smoked?
Will he visit Toronto schools and say "just say NO!"

The rest of the world are howling with laughter.....yet again.

The Mayor of Washington D.C. Did the same thing in 1990..... he got re-elected.

Doubt theres anyone in jail in Canada for smoking a spliff tbh. Its legal for personal use in all but name, totally ignored

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 401 ✭✭theblaqueguy

He denied it for so many months and then finally admitted to it because they have him on video smoking it
It doesn't look like hes going resign and he plans on running re-election next year I'd be surprised if he does get another term next year

I wouldn't tbh, his supporters tend to be pretty hardcore. You won't find any downtown, which is why many people assume he's fooked, no-one likes him etc, but the suburbs are swarming with loyal Fordies - Etobicoke, Scarboroough etc. He keeps them onside with his "ordinary guy" status, opening parks, turning up at soccer matches, and then the handy jobs - extending subway lines, building new roads etc.

Unless he comes up against a strong opponent this time, and also taking account of the "love to hate him" factor, who knows if a third term is on the cards.

We have the new arsehole now on TV...live....De Blasio....yammering about how the NYPD is "the greatest police force in the world" [Christ!!!]

And every fcuking word he pukes, they clap.

    It's wonderful

    .

Since when do mayors hand out prison sentences?

Since when does Canada jail people for ten years for smoking a single spliff?

Even the likes of Dubai have a four year average for personal use!

Those goddamn punk kids with their spliffs and rumble seats.

That cracked.com article (coincidence, I think not) just shows what a star Rob Ford is and what **** yanks are.

BBC ponder why Rob got even more popular after the scandal.

Seems to be some sort of Boris Johnson (literally) on crack. No accounting for charisma, which the guy clearly has. Some people can get away with the most bizzare behaviour just because they have an innate likeability (Clinton, JFK, even our own Haughey and Bertie to certain extent) **** one and all, but generally likeable ****.

That's exactly what I thought. Only an experienced Irish politician would have the neck to sit tight having been caught on film smoking crack - having denied it for months previously, of course.

his approval ratings are high because, surprisingly, he's done quite a good job as mayor of toronto

It is too funny that his excuse for smoking crack is that he was too drunk to realize what he was doing. Excellent political standards :pac:

lol. and he was too high to realize he was getting drunk.

one minute you're having an innocent smoke of crack.
next thing you know you've an alcohol bottle in your hand.

    could happen to anyone.

    Crack for me = Good
    Crack for you = Bad

I tell lies = Weeelll, I sorta had to.
You tell lies = No, not acceptable.

    Mmmkay.

If he had any cop on he would resign. He must have some Irish blood in him.

He'll probably get reelected next year tbh. Theres a feeding number of people over here who don't really care what you do in your spare time once you get your job done when you're at work. And he's done a pretty good job so far, amazingly

Yeah, he should just groped a woman in the national parliament, then no-one would care

He has already been accused of groping a rival candidates arse. Of course he denied it. There is also a photo of him with her and in it he is completely worse for wear.

I think he will get elected again. A lot of people in Toronto, love the guy, his radio show is quite popular and there doesn't seem to be any genuine alternative to him.

To be fair while i initially had the view that he should step down after the revelations about his behaviour; he has done his job better than any previous mayor in recent years, and is well able to connect with people in this city. Cant see any Irish politician on the horizon with that ability. Crack or no crack

Gdammit, now I want to smoke crack too.

The problem with crack is that it's very more-ish.

Ford also specifically denied the allegations of sex and a comment about oral sex made to a staff member, and that a woman who attended the St. Patrick's Day night party was a prostitute. "It hurts my wife when they call a friend of mine a prostitute. Alana is not a prostitute. She's a friend. And it makes me sick how people are saying this." He added "The last thing is (former staffer) Olivia Gondek. It said I want to eat her pussy. I've never said that in my life to her. I would never do that. I'm happily married. I've got more than enough to eat at home."

All I'm laughing at is the fact you call him a "crack head". You would probably call the elderly tee total nun down the road from me a dirty wino, since she had some holy wine in her 20's...

I'd still prefer if Ireland had a fela in charge who regularly threatens to kill people while smoking crack with naked prostitutes instead of Bertie Ahern.

    100 times out of 100.

I actually do think someone signed up with a name almost identical to mine that was permabanned. I've never been banned.

Do you know what they posted? Their thread was deleted when I checked.

Feels like I'm being stalked. :)

I'm guessing there's a letter extra, or a slight variation in the spelling.

Sad really that some poor sod is so bored to take the time.

Edit, here's their spelling of it.
