Rent Allowance pregnancy question?

Hello , I don't know if this is the right forum, but I am currently 38.5 days pregnant and have just been successful to applying for housing list. Can I apply now for rent allowance or am I better off to wait until my little one is born? just as rates goes, Im very confused living in Limerick btw Thanks
