    Green variety. Australis.

Will it last the Kildare winter? Planted in garden, not in q pot.

    Any tips on achieving survival?

I have a green one in the front garden and a red star in the back garden. For both of them, their first winter was 2010 and temperature in my back garden went down below -14c and they survived fine.
