    i had a 407 1.6hdi and all i can say is it broke my heart. every week seemed to bring new problems. allot of electrical problems.
    not sure about the petrol version but i would stay clear of 407s.
    Try a mondeo avensus or accord and compare prices( all better cars in my opinion)
