    Gorey 3 day. Easter. - A3, A2, Junior
    Kanturk 3 day. May BH. - A4, A3 (i think)
FBD Ras. Late May A3*,A2,A1, Elite, *AFAIK
    Charleville 2 day. September A3, A2,A1 Elite

I think this is open to A4's.

I'll do it the natural way Lenny, none of these artificial enhancements for me! I got 4 points near the end of this season so I'm hoping to get 6 more early doors, we'll see though, scoring in A4 is easier said than done, I'll have to get way stronger.

old school. I like it. :)

edit - im confusing charleville with some other race, so scrap that! Kanturk, charleville, Mullingar (if its on) are available to A4. There may be others.

I'm pretty sure that due to the fact that the UCI look at the UCICat code on the licence, it is possible for an A3 rider to race the Ras. I heard that from a very good source. That obviously doesn't mean that an A3 would finish the ras.... :)

Lenny Mc - The first A3 rider to finish the Ras - winning it in the process. Would this get you an upgrade do you think?!

Lads ye all heard him saying it, Lenny is doing the Ras this year.
    Must start a new thread.

A mate of mine rode the Rás last year as an A3.

I didn't think there was a minimum level once your were selected by your team.

    It's limited to A+,A1 and A2's.
Something to do with the UCI grade I think.

Must be a case of no one actual checking licences so, he was deffo an A3. I'm pretty sure at least 2 of his team mates were as well.

A3s can ride the ras,as once it says elite on your licence thats all the uci comm is interested in.A1 A2 A3 etc are only CI cats and mean nothing to UCI Comms.Lots of A3s in the field in 2013.[well as far as Glengariff anyway].

Nope Wexford is a week later this year, 23 - 24 august.

separate a1, a2, a3, a4. No combining of race categories.

the electronic CI calander should be very soon ready. CI are showing it to secretaries at the moment. online booking and event detail editing. hopefully the information will be more accurate and complete .

August looks like : Suir Valley- Wexford - Charleville

Thanks a million Michael. Delighted to hear you kept the Wx 2 day in August in the sunny south east. Surely stage one won't ever be as wet again!!!

check that norweigan weather site for august 2014, believe weather will be good for that weekend, as well as good for all the 2 days in 2014.
