I've just been looking through the applcation documents for 2 groups to the BAI. Available here: http://www.bai.ie/?page_id=3928

They are long documents as you can imagine. I was struck by a couple of things in them. One was the estimated wage bill of the Donegal challenger, DLFM. It's a bit over 1 million euros annually for 24 full time and 36 part time staff, 57% of expenditure.
They also project income in the first year of just over 2 million euros and a profit of approx. 260,000 euros.
Their daily listener reach projection is 60 - 70 % of all adults (15 plus) and they estimate their listener share in Year 1 will be 60 - 70%.

Given that local radio is strongest in places like North Donegal, I'm wondering from those in the know if these sort of predictions look anyway realistic. Seems a bit optimistic in the current climate to me, but I don't really know.
