    Folks,

Anyone know somewhere (preferably in Dublin) that sells turbo bits?

I need a restrictor for an oil feed line for a project I'm doing.

    Something like this.

    Thanks

Any company who deals with hydraulic hoses should have one. Prob best to show them a pic though as they might not know it as an oil restrictor. It looks a standard enough fitting to be honest. Pirtek are just one company that comes to mind but there are loads of places that'd have them.

Or you could buy it off eBay as per the link.. Or if your really good you could prob make one up easily enough on a lathe.

just a question, why do you need to restrict the flow of oil to the turbo? would it not be better to have as much oil flowing to the turbo as possible?

A ball bearing turbo needs far less oil than a journal bearing turbo, so a restrictor is required to avoid the oil forcing itself past the seals

I tried everywhere to get a 1mm restrictor and had to settle on eBay!
That said though mine had an odd thread pattern on the turbo so maybe you'll have found one already!
