11/4 tomorrow in a class 2 race at Kempton. So sad, the horse that was tipped to give Big Bucks a good run a few years back. Conceding a shed load of weight but will back tomorrow if only for sentimental value.

Fancy doing a L15 and come back from work to find loads of money in my account so fire your picks in now!

Not the Grand Crus, the horse running tomorrow is Grands Crus.

    Don't be that guy, seriously

    I'm bored, I couldn't resist.

Sad indeed how this horse has ended up, reminds me of Franchoek. Even money favourite for a Triumph hurdle & he was last seen in Thurles during the summer I think. Its amazing how many of these so called "superstars" end up being utterly useless. Aran Concerto is another that springs to mind.

doing The Crafty Butcher in Grands Crus' race, and Uriah Heap in the last for Alan King. 14/1 the double.

Aran Concerto was 17.1 hh and had knee problems was pin fired without success.I have been murdered on this site for staying with Grand Crus but he is totally ground dependent ,has had numerous ops so lets see.I still think this horse has got it and could be a dark horse for Cheltenham [dont ask what race].In the first Devon Drum,2nd Reverb,3rd present View,4th Grands Cru,5th Hadrians Approach,6th Foundation Man 6/4 well over priced,Uriap Heep with a very serious danger Reggie Perron at decent odds.

Aran Concerto picked up a bad hock injury the day he won the Powers Gold Cup didn't he?

Could well have, imagine that frame landing on the back legs.I know they pin fired him so it was his size rather than ability.

It isn't often I find myself having a bet on a Monday that isn't a bank holiday in small field handicap against a horse of the calibre of Grands Crus(an old favorite of mine).
However I think there is serious mileage in opposing him with Gods Own at a tasty 3/1. He was bang in contention the last day before unseating paddy due to quite an unfortunate incident.
His novice form last year is rock solid without being outstanding and I think that wih the benefit of that run and a decent mark he just could prove a bit to tough for grands crus at this stage of the season.

Pipe has T'd up everyone for a loss from grans crus today reading his RP article. Its an off the cuff comment but he seems to be able to bring horses forward very quickly and then they flatten out on their promise lately. Hoping the same wont happen dynaste

Such a pity with Grand Crus, pushed Big Bucks harder than most and 2 years ago would have carried Dynaste around on his back.

Hope to see him hack up today

Much and all as I like Hadrians Approach, I am not sure the yard is firing. I think Kings Theatre is great value at 3/1 and the Tizzards are going well at the moment. Hopefully I can lump the winning on to Cue Card tomorrow.

Wouldn't be surprised if Pipe and co punt him after the negative chatter!

Trying to convince myself he's on a good mark and based on the fact he's run one poor race over hurdles in his career but at this stage i'm gonna sit back and cheer him on.

Lovely jubbly. Still looked quite a bit quirky towards the end.
Such a shame about GC such a fan of the horse.

At least Grands Crus qualifies for the Pertemps final at the festival if they want to go that way.
