i met a man over 2 years ago and i know he likes me as i have being told through a mutual friend and hes made it quite obvious to me too.the problem is he has never asked me out.i can get quite shy around him and sometimes i do avoid him for fear of saying something stupid. hes got a reputation for being a fun, outgoing man (hes around 33 ish).hes not the shy type ive seen him with a few girls.but the other day he came into my place of work and i had to serve him and he got so nervous and jittery.he started babbling on and then left without saying goodbye. my question is does he really properly like me and that's why he got so nervous?and what should i do about it?

I think you should ask him out if it is still bugging you after 2 years.

Well don't then. Why ask what to do if it looks like you have already decided to continue as you have been?

ure not hear to help are you?!

What help do you want though? I said to ask him out and you said you wouldn't unless you know he will say yes. You will never know what he will say unless you actually ask him. If you don't then forget it as if after 2 years he hasn't asked you out then it is highly unlikely to happen any day soon is it. Just take the bull by the horn so to speak. :D

When you look back on your life as you get older, the majority of the things you will regret will be the things you could have done but didn't, rather than the things you did do that didn't work out.

That guy might be a potential date, a potential failed date, or he could turn out to be the man of your dreams, the future father of your children and the one you grow old with.

There's no issue with regretting asking him out, these things happen sometimes, but you don't want to look back on your life and wonder what could have been if only you'd asked him out when you had the chance.

The rest of your life could literally be only a sentence away, but if it's not, wouldn't you rather know one way or another?

That's an immature attitude to have, maybe you are very young though. What do you have to lose by asking him out?

As the rest said, go for it :)

Don't come on here asking for advice with your own opinion already set in stone, you can't get any help doing that :)

OP you have two options here:

    1. Ask him out, or
    2. Wait another two years for him to overcome his shyness.

Either way one of you is going to have to make the first move. If I was in your situation I wouldn't be waiting around around I would ask him out.
