    Hi All

My Father owns a Hitachi EX60-2 Digger. He is having a problem when he turn it off. After about 20 second the oil light comes on and then a buzzers comes behind the seat. He then has to disconnect the battery to stop it. Once the battery is reconnect it disappears. This has resulted in the Charging light on the dash no longer working.

    Regards

    Colm

Is the oil level ok in engine or maybe oil level sensor is at fault...

More likely a dodgy ignition switch or stuck relay? Not turning off properly and when oil pressure naturally drops it's tripping the alarm as power is still going to it. The alternator light also points to that.

Usually caused by a dodgy ignition - also not unknown for them to start themelves and run away unattended, the ignitions wear and short-out - bung in a new one, but they're not hugely cheap.

Fit an isolator to it as well, the amount of burned out machines and tractors in breakers yards is frightening.

On these its almost essential - if the ignition shorts and kicks in the starter, somtimes it won't stop "starting" and the wires involved will glow almost as hot as the starter itself until the insulation burns, along with whatever else joins in. Then the machine is toast. And it's not hugley uncommon either.

I doubt it! Keep an eye on it, it's probably only behaving temporarily!
