Looking forward to this, have the Wallabies backed so will be cheering for them

Should be interesting to see how the English backline goes, I don't think it's great.

Should be a good match. Australia have improved but their good performances have come in free flowing games which today will not be. Have doubts that Australia will be able to cope with the physical battle. I think it could come down to a kicking game.

Corbs being out will be the difference between the teams IMO. Mako is a poor scrummager and Cole is very hit and miss. Could deny England the edge

Dickson really is a very limited player at this level as he has show before

My cards on the table, hoping for Aussie win. But Farrell kicking Eng to victory off the back of scrum penalties wouldn't surprise me.

Hopefully Clancy surprises and has a good game.

Exciting time to be an English rugby fan. So many talented new faces. A real fresh start. If they gel, this side could be seriously good. If they don't, it'll be mistakes galore and painful to watch

Terrible from Folau there. The end result a gimme penalty for Eng.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,221 ✭✭✭Ugo Monye spacecraft experience

Falou picked that ball up so well but it was so incredibly selfish not to pass it to Cummins who had acres of space on the wing

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,221 ✭✭✭Ugo Monye spacecraft experience

Yarde is all over the place too

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,221 ✭✭✭Ugo Monye spacecraft experience

Has Dickson been on serious form in the premiership or something? The guy can't pass the ball

England will struggle to score a try if they just use one-off runners.

    Farrell

    Plan B needed :P

Some awful passing from Genia so far

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,221 ✭✭✭Ugo Monye spacecraft experience

Genia not exactly playing well. Few very bad passes

You forget how awful sky are for England games and then ... Bang ... Every November there's the wake up call.

lol Barnes: "Genias passing is very slick" moments after Genia puts in three awful passes in a row

Australia are putting an amount of pressure on Mako

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,636 ✭✭✭✭Tox56

Jaysus I know I'm hardly the first person to say this but wtf is up with Australian props complete inability to scrummage, just in that last scrum the Aus tighthead had really obviously poor technique even to someone like me

    Much better from Vunipola there!

Jesus it must be so depressing being that Australian frontrow

Clacy is doing a Poite and has premeditated his scrum decisions.

I think they are getting pinged unfairly tbh

Look at the technique of the Aus 3 in that last scrum, he went high and looked to have no power coming through whatsoever

    Genia having a mare

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,636 ✭✭✭✭Tox56

Genia has really dropped from the Lions series. He had a winger coming in ready to take advantage of a gap and instead of popping he runs straight into the English number 8.

Clancy is absolutely killing Australia here.

Jesus, Australian scrum getting annihilated by a TH not renowned for his scrummaging and a loosehead who got destroyed by a Connacht front row a few weeks ago

i've said this on nearly every match thread featuring Australia over the last two years, but surely there's a better loosehead and TH in the country? Could they really do any worse

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,936 ✭✭✭ewj1978

Aussie scrum is appalling, If they keep giving away pens mr, Clancy will be yellow carding people..

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,415 ✭✭✭Swiwi.

I have seen nothing from Eng to worry me so far. NZ scrum is better than Australia's, so they'll need to find something else to throw at us.

Australia are killing themselves with their ill discipline

I was thinking back to the second scrum peno, vunipola just drove in on him and got the peno. After that england made a complete mess of the scrum and got another put in. Farrell just missed again hes now 1/4

One of the best usernames I have ever seen Ugo..

totally agree.. Australia need to up their game

    Yellow card next time

what's amazing is how Australia feel the need to give away so many penalties to a pretty pedestrian English attack

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,415 ✭✭✭Swiwi.

I wish there was neutral commentary...

Australia are killing themselves with their ill discipline

Some of the scrum calls are very harsh. Vunipola is doing his driving across trick all the time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

    Clear block from that restart!

Barnes making up his own rules

Great try. Toomua is so strong. Australia playing all the rugby.

Ashton once again showing his massive limitations

    Schoolboy defending from 36 too

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,936 ✭✭✭ewj1978

nice play aussie.. could be a try here

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,541 ✭✭✭Davei141

Solid scrum and a very good try! Twelvetrees got smashed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,936 ✭✭✭ewj1978

yep.. good play that,, awful defence from England.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006
