Quite a few, sadly none of them helped getting hot chicks.

The rugged good looks did that for me :)

I'm shyte at computers. I had to sell on our last computer simply because it lacked the 'any' key it kept telling me to press.

You don't need IT qualifications to find porn yano.

If you want hot chicks just lie and say you're a pilot. They throw themselves at ya, trust me.

IT qualifications? Don't they go off quicker than milk?

I've no interest in IT at all. Like the gadgets but the geeky stuff the nerds can have.

Any IT problem...... Just turn your computer on and off again... This is standard iT advice. You will get charged handsomely for it as well.

    Bargain.

I'm terrible with computers and technology. I use my computer for e-mail and fluting about on the internet.

I know shag all about about any of the microsoft office packages either.

    I have intermediate level Excel.
Handy for calculating numbers. I love numbers. Chicks use numbers, though not mine.

I'll leave all the IT stuff to the computer nerds

I remember computers when they were 16 bit (8 bit I/O) and had hex keyboards!
8088 chips ftw, press enter and wait.......

PS, Cisco certs are great for connecting them together but not a lot of good if you work on the servers.

That's a good question, What IT qualifications would open doors?

    YMCA, probably back doors.

If you can buy a computer off the internet then you've already got a higher standard of computing knowledge than ECDL.

Depends on which part of the IT sector you want to go into, web application development is big these days.

I can count on one hand the amount of hot guys I've met working in IT in the past 16 years.

    Actually it was just one.

IT guys generally aren't the most alluring.

Just get over the fact you look like a nerd, and accept you'll never bag whatever current hot burd adorns your walls.

Thats why they get all the donkey work in IT. The brains behind it dont have to be dealing with gob****e customers who cant figure out why their internet doesnt work.

There is almost nothing any qualification can teach you that you can't teach yourself for free, especially when it comes to IT stuff. You just need the discipline.

I am not going to advertise anywhere in particular but if you have the interest there is tons of tutorials on you-tube that bring you from installing whatever software you need, to the basics of said software, to fairly advanced stuff.

What i would do is come up with some sort of project idea (Web app or android app or idea for a program or webpage/website ect) and find out what software/ programming languages you will need in order to accomplish your project and learn them.
Im in college at the min and find i learn sweet **** all doing the **** that i am told to do. Learn much more and get much more interested by going off and learning what i need in order to accomplish something I want to do.

Of course this way you don't get an expensive bit of paper at the end :pac:

Problem is, that it's that piece of paper that gets you the job!
Without it, your application usually gets "filed".

You're better off finding a programming language you actually like using and then doing something interesting with it. I tried the whole mobile app thing years ago before the term 'app' was invented, but as it turns out I absolutely despise Java and anything to do with it. So off to do something else for me..

I know and i hate our education system because of that. That piece of paper doesn't mean you can do your job any better that someone who is self taught. But that is a whole other debate...

Either way i thought the op was in it for the chicks ;)

Different approaches i suppose. Yea you have to like whatever language you will be using but OP presumable have very little programming knowledge so has no idea what he likes/dislikes. I find I learn programming better by coming up with an idea, trying to see where the gaps in my knowledge are and then filling in said gaps so i can complete idea.

"No it isn't. look I’ve, just updated that page on boards.ie!"
