I have given my stock licks this year as normal. However I can't understand how quick they disappeared. When I investigated this I noticed that the block was 47% molasses. What I want to know is there any blocks on the market which does not have such a high percentage of molasses in it without compromising quality.

One thing I notice about minerals buckets with molasses you need to remove from field/paddock as cattle finish it out as if they are hungry they finish the bucket,.

These look value if they contain a good mineral spec cattle should not be as attracted to as molassed minerals buckeys

i used the crystalix easy breather with weanlings last year. its hard to tell whether they were that much better. we always used the seaweed up until last year, i decided not to use it and bolused the cows instead. then a shake of bagged minerals aswell. our calving date slipped by over a month. i know it was a rough winter but that in my eyes was a bit much. this year im back with the seaweed and mineral blocks on pins between the pens.
