astra 19 help??

    i have a 60cm dish and im trying to access fta german channels on astra 19.2.

    i am using a setsat meter.

    i can get 100% signal on vertical high but cant get horizontal high which appears to have the german channels. any1 any advice???

    What's the frequency & symbol rate of the horizontal high transponder you are trying?

    not sure just using preset ones in meter. It is a new meter and i have had no problem with 28 and 13.

    not used astra 19 for years so any help is welcome.

    I CAN GET MOST CHANNELS BUT NOT THE GERMAN 1S

    So you've connected up a receiver & can't get the channels you want?

    Can you list the menu options you went through on your meter to get to where you choose 'horizontal high' etc.?

    i have fitted a new 60cm sky dish with a new quad lnb. can only get astra19 vh locked on at dish but cant lock on to HH

    reciever tunes in channels when i do a blind scan and i can watch most channels except german 1s which just say no signal??

    i have not used astra 19 before. usually hotbird13 or sky28.

    any advice much appreciated

    Which German channels are showing no signal? What frequency, polarity & SR are they on? Can't you get this displayed if you hit 'info' button on the receiver?

    dont have receiver in front of me now but was rtl channel and other common fta german channels.

    my thought was that channels i couldnt get must have been on horizontal high (the one i cant seen to lock onto

    You seem to have decided yourself that the problem is lack of horizontal high band signal from the lnb.

    Have you tried a different lnb output?

    yes have tried all 4 outputs on lnb. ive also changed lnb and receiver box. rtl and all other german channels just say no signal

    Well, any further attempts at help from me will just be guesses, unless you can list some of the problem channels & the frequencies they are on (to check they are valid transponders) or maybe detail how you set up the meter to check the different band/polarity blocks.
