Apologies if this has been done elsewhere or I'm in the wrong place :)

I keep seeing ads for movie/TV extras. I'm looking to earn a little extra (boom boom) on the side and I'm wondering if anyone has experience of these jobs and would they recommend them :)

    Thanks :D

My friend have some casting role. He has found a job though movie extras and is very happy. It's very easy job. Not very well paid, but fair enough. He is looking for more roles in the cinema industry.

Thanks Zauka, that's good to know. Basically it would be a top income so I don't mind it not being paid too well. I think I will sign up in January :)

Bear in mind you may not even be called for anything. I have done some roles in Fair City, The Clinic and other stuff but haven't been called for anything for the last year.

Keep an eye on the papers and on here etc for 'open castings'. Basically you go along, give your details and may be called. My Dad has done a lot of work through that, The Tudors etc
