Hi there, my dishwasher has started to act the maggot! It has started to do very short cycles, a couple of minutes at most, it even makes the sound as if it has finished a complete cycle but it hasn't, all the dishes are still dirty! Anybody have a clue what the problem
    is, Thanks.

Check that the drain isn't blocked, it may be giving you an error "beep" code rather than the end of cycle beep.

Two common problems are , wash pump failure and water flow meter dodgy, either can give similar symptoms, if it has been giving poor washes recently probably pump. you need the ability to check each.

Eventually got around to sorting the dishwasher, put it into engineer mode and I got an error code 5, blocked rotor arm! So I have a dishwasher that works with the top drawer out. 😒
