I hope someone could give me some information. I put a deposit on a house in April after mths the bank released the deeds, when we finally went in to sign and pay the remainder of the deposit the solicitor noticed a judgment mortgage on the property, which no one was notified of.
We still signed but apparently we are waiting for clarification from bank of Ireland to say it's ok to buy the house. This came to light the start of September, any idea how much longer this will take???

    Hi Toby6,

Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to boards.ie.

As this is an exceptional situation and very much account specific, we would be unable to provide you with a general answer here.

If you would like to send us a private message via the link under my signature, we will be happy to ask an advisor in your branch to make contact with you with an update. We would need your full name, contact phone number and the branch that is dealing with your mortgage application to arrange this for you.

    Thanks
    Tara
