Upgrade my Canon 400d or not...

    Hi All,
I'm new enough to photography so any advice is appreciated. a few months ago i picked up a canon 400d. included were what i imagine was the kit lens, EFS18-55mm, and a canon EF 90-300mm. The 18-55mm looks to have been damaged by fungus, the inside of the front glass looks like it's been sort of etched in one or two spots. it doesnt seem to harm the image quality (or not that i can see, at least). The fact that she uses a CF card rather than a SD is a bit of a pain, getting images on to the pc can take a bit of time.

what im wondering is would it be worth changing to something like a 600d, and if so, would the EF lens i already have be compatible. the first link below was one i spotted in currys @ 495e. they have them priced less the 35e cashback in store. or, for the sake of the extra few yoyos, would getting the one in the second link, including the 75-300mm lens be a better bet.

or i suppose option three would be to suck up the whole read/write time thing and get some shiny new lenses. I like landscape/building photography so any pointers on a wide angle would be appreciated too.

    point me right, people!

I'm not going to go one way on the other on the "glass vs getting a body that can get above ISO 1600"
I will say that I went for glass, and some flashguns which solved my problems pretty neatly.
The 600D with the 18-55 IS II is 440 quid on amazon.de at the moment, the 18-55 IS II is a better lens when compared to the III though you will find it heavier and the IS will drag the battery life down a bit. I can't find a similar bundle with the 75-300 but then you could just buy the 18-55 bundle and pay full whack for the 75-300 and the price wouldn't be that much different after shipping ( guesstimate ).
