Can anyone recommend the best pace to get an Aran Sweater either online or in Dublin?
    Looking for soething that is:

    Go hand-knit (atleast hand-loomed)
Thick knit, in pure wool color
Tightly woven with longer fibers. Reduce pilling, maintain shape.
    No overly droopy armholes
Hugs around the body for a good fit, no pooching at waist

There are a few touristy shops on Nassau Street that would be a good place to start.

Meh is right, but probably the only type of shop where you'll find what you're looking for!
Not sure if it's possible for you but the woollen mills shop at Glendalough usually has a nice selection; also try charity shops.

This is the company that I would highly recommend. I bought a few different items through the years there that would certainly suit your description above (albeit with a staff discount, but the clothing are still perfect years later) :)

Hope that helps in some way,
