Posts that encourage drivers to break the law e.g. telling people to make false motor tax declarations may result in either an infraction or a banning.
Similar punishment will be awarded to those who request such advice.

Boards.ie - Motoring Procedures For Complaints
If you have a complaint about a post, please use the Report Post function (see the report.gif icon to the left of the post) to make a complaint. This will then be dealt with by one of the moderators.

Should you have a complaint about an issue within the Motors forum then please follow the following escalation channels using the Private Messaging system:
    1. Forum Moderators - a list of moderators can be found at the bottom of each forum main screen - best off CCing them all in your PM as we mods sometimes venture offline to do other things.
    2. Category Moderator (kbannon and AlmightyCushion)
    3. Help Desk

It's important to note, if you have an issue with a moderation decision, that you don't question it on-thread. Doing this will inevitably drag the thread off-topic which is unfair to the OP and other posters. Users who question mod instructions on-thread will be infracted or banned as necessary.

Should you feel that you are not satisfied with the outcome from contacting the Forum Mods, then try the Cmod. Should you still be unsatisfied, the start a thread in the helpdesk forum. Should you deviate away from these channels and go to the helpdesk initially (for example) then, you will be redirected back towards these channels.

Finally, mods are unpaid and lead somewhat normal lives (we have nagging wives or busy jobs or exciting cars) so please give us a chance to deal with your queries. We do try to remain impartial and open. Sometimes we may wish to get further advice to decide the fairest outcome so please be patient.

    VRT

This thread is made up of several VRT threads that were running concurrently that were debating basically the same thing. They've all been merged.

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055892831

This thread is for any discussion regarding VRT - is it fair, is it moral, is there anything going on in the world that is of interest to the pro/anti-VRT lobbies.

If you have a specific query about how VRT works or what to do in a specific instance, start a separate thread, all other discussion will be merged into the mega-thread.

Yellow card infractions will now be given instead of on thread warnings. These infractions can be imposed for a breach of charter or if the poster is deemed by a moderator to be deliberately obnoxious, unhelpful or trolling. Six or more Yellow infractions within a six month period will earn the poster a ban, the length of this will at the moderators discretion.

This use of yellow cards is for the purposes of recording, and allowing us to act on, ongoing patterns of user behaviour.
This is in addition to, and doesn't replace, the existing sanctions applied to breaking the Charter rules.
