How would i go about cashing an australian cheque in ireland? i got a tax refund from australia by post today and to my surprise it's over $1000, i thought they would of transferred it into my irish bank account but that hasn't happened,

will irish banks cash this for me? if so what kind of charges will i be looking at?

    Thanks.

You'll need to lodge it into your account. I can't think of any that will cash it directly for you. The eventual amount will vary depending on the exchange rate at the time. The charge for processing it will depend on your bank.

Clearing will take a few weeks.
