Surprised the pub in doolin that's part of the doolin hotel didn't make the list.
I'd also have had farringtons, bull and castle and the black sheep on there.
Brewery corner should be there as well.

While I haven't been in all of them, some seem to be on or serving only one or two craft beers which if true is a little disappointing.

And the absence of mulligan grocer is an outrage.

They clearly wants a mix of places all around ireland for the article rather than stick in 6 dublin pubs

Its not a 'top ten', just a 'ten'.

I'd agree on Mulligan's but it's a dear night out drinking craft in Dublin, bought a pint in the Brew Dock a fortnight ago, 5 point something strength -€6.50, crikey. Personal favourite pub is the Drift Inn in Buncrana, good staff, good food and you can sit on the smoking veranda having a pint and watching golfers tackling the 9th/18th at Buncrana Golf Club. Used to be the Long Hall but it's a very different crowd now from the 80s/90s.

The Drift Inn is a nice pub in terms of decor, but as well as the golf course the veranda overlooks the back of an off licenses' keg/crate storage area, a few industrial units and an old toilet block that's half demolished. The food is also sometimes good, sometimes crap, same with the food service (barstaff are grand). It doesn't sell nice beer either.

What I love about Mulligan's is that they charge appropiate prices for their beer, especially the local brews. I think a lot of pubs are falling on to the bangwagon of craft beer/hipster hangout and charging what they like. Bought two pints in the Brew Dock the other week, couldn't believe the price. Over 11 euro for two and they were draft. In Mulligans the local stuff is always cheaper.

Gallaghers (their sister pub) is also missing a mention.

You mean Kavanagh's, which imo, is a better pub than Mulligan's.

But it wouldn't have been a Guardian list if it wasn't Egalitarian.

You're right, I work a couple of doors up from it but incessently insist on calling it Gallaghers.
