I recently purchased the new nexus 7 and my son is getting a kindle for Xmas. My question is if an e book is bought for example from Amazon can it be viewed on both devices ?

If you get a Kindle, then you are locked to the Kindle Eco System (for the most part, think there are/were some issues with PDF's). Could be wrong my expeirence is with an old kindle
