Five people with alleged links to dissident Irish republicanism have appeared in court charged with terror offences and conspiracy to murder.

The four men and woman are charged with planning acts of terrorism between 1 February and 23 October at a property on Old Castle Road, Cathcart, Glasgow.

It is alleged they tried to get a hold of firearms and explosives.

I have read other articles saying that they were seemingly linked to dissident republicans. Is there a Scottish version of the IRA?

Police chief said that "they were sympathetic to the republican cause but not affiliated to any specific group."

So just a group of nutters basically.

So if they were any other nationality and they were trying to source arms/explosives then that would have been grand?

Apparently some maniac was rampaging through Glasgow city centre absolutely stackers except for a doc marten boot, placed firmly other his Willy.

When stopped and asked by cops what he was doing, he reportedly said "ACH am just fcukin a boot"

The SNP trying to cut down on Irish immigrants having their say in Scotland is the reason behind this.

I guess you read up on things that have happend "Glasgow particularly" in Scotland over the past few years and come back to me

We can only go on what the police have said at this stage unless you have a link from the arrested groups viewpoint?

Strange one this, nice that they throw in the republican cause even though their not affiliated with any group.

Nice way to blame the Irish even though they had nothing to do with it.
