Watched the RTE 'Cloch le Carn' programme this evening on the life of Maeve Binchy. Maeve was a terrific (and hugely successful author) human being.
The closing of the programme contained some really great (I think) Chieftan's music but I don't know the piece. I thought it might be Women of Ireland but now I don't think so. Anybody be able to help? http://www.rte.ie/player/ie/show/10217008/

Binchy was a boring D4 arse licker who wrote glorified chick lit.. Never liked her but fully understood why the RTE luvvies lionized her.

I thought it did sound like Women of Ireland/ Mná na hEireann.

Possibly not this version, but it sounds similar

If you send an e-mail to info@rte.ie, they are usually helpful with programme queries.
