printer not reading new ink (refill)

    I got a black refill cartridge for a canon pixma mp280 printer but it wont recognise that the black ink is now full again. it keeps saying replace ink.

    is there anyway around this

    Might be a silly question but did you remove the cartridge head sticker?

    haha ye i did. its ok now i figured it out, i managed to reset the printer and then it read it as new cartridge.
