Laptop recommendation

After browsing through saveonlaptops I reckon this laptop has a better spec for the price and is within my budget...

Also had a look at the lenovo g510 but unfortunately its out of stock atm. Would there be much difference in power/quality between the Packard Bell and the Lenovo even with the current i5 that it has?

    What about Lenovo.ie?

Id only be interested in the core i5 but once you checkout it confirms both models of the g510 are out of stock unfortunately.

Would you recommend the Packard bell as a decent alternative Torqay even with the core i3? The make wouldn't put me off as I understand they are owned by Acer now and it does look like a fairly good spec for the price. Preferably Id go for the lenovo, the only thing putting me off is I read there can be problems with some models WiFi connectivity if there is any truth behind that at all?

Neither the brand nor the processor. ;)

As for Lenovo being out of stock, ring them and ask when they expect them to be on sale in Ireland.

Are you sure it's OOS? I ordered from lenovo.ie on Tuesday night and it shipped (from Eindhoven with UPS) yesterday lunchtime.

Off-topic - if I upgrade the HDD to a SSD (64 or 128GB) will I notice much improvement in performance? The G510 has 8GB SSD built into the HDD (I think:o).
